This is an old, well patinated mask from the Ibibio people of Nigeria. Features a fine carving style and red painted patina with obvious layers, including a deep gold yellow underneath. The form, patina and age are a highlight. In good condition, with wear, particularly to the back edge. Stand not included. Height of mask approx 25cm.
