A STRIKING RED DAN GUERRE EX UK COLLECTION ( No 5174 )

An unusual mask from the Dan/ Guerre tribe of the Ivory Coast.  Ex Uk Collection.  There are hand drilled holes for the mask wearer atriums the perimeter that have erosion.   The wood mask has striking red and blue coloured pigments to increase its perceived spiritual power.  Has a well developed,  used patina.  In good collectable condition. The metal standcan be included.  In good condition with wear.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used.  Height of mask approx 25cm
