A CHARMING PINNOCHIO LIKE TOPENG MASK FROM JAVA INDONESIA ( No 2551)

This is a really charming deep yellow theatre mask from Java, Indonesia.  Worn during traditional Topeng dance theatre.   The nose is extremely elongated, with wide intense eyes.  Features a bold polychrome used, patina which has darkened with age and use.  In good collectable condition with wear. Does not stand unassisted.  We guarantee this item has been indigenously used. Height of mask approx 22cm
