A FIGURATIVE WOMANS CLOTH, EWE TRIBE OF GHANA( No 1606)

This is a figurative womens cloth from Ghana, west Africa.  Features adef embroidered details including a crocodile, bird, turtle, a 6 fingered hand, and an elephant.  The embroidered details create a dramatic extra level of complexity.  Hand woven on a portable loom, then the strips were hand stitched together.  In good condition with wear.  Height approx 180 x 120cm approx
