This is a large figurative heddle pulley from
the Baule tribe of the Ivory Coast, West
Africa. Has figurative form, with a human bust on top with a traditional crested hairstyle. The patina is well used, with signs of wear from rotation of the spool. as one would expect. In good condition. Custom mounted. The bobbin is present. We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height approx 18cm
