This is a sculptural leather bag from the Tuareg tribe of Niger, West Africa.  Nomadic travellers who operate the camel caravans that traverse the Sahara. Made of hand processed and dyed leather,  with intricate geometric cut out patterns, including multi-tiered tassels.  Has a used patina, obviously darkened  and softened with age.  In good condition with some wear.  Height approx 70cm
