AN ENGRAVED GURUNSI MASK FROM BURKINA FASO W.AFRICA ( No 2771 )

This is a beautifully engraved mask from the Gurunsi tribe of Burkina Faso, West Africa.  Features attractive geometric engraved  patterns throughout, highlighted with white pigments.  Has a handle masquerading as a beard and a classic Gurunsi cheesy grin.  A nicely developed patina.  Made from a heavy African hardwood.  In good collectable condition, with wear.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height of mask approx 30cm
