This is a shapely metal shield from the
Turkana people of Kenya. Has an abstracted body like form with gently pointed edges. There are holes made at two edges that are reminiscent of scarification. Earth coloured pigment stripes adorn the front. Wooden stick handle that runs the length of the shield and overhangs both sides. The patina shows age. In good condition, with wear. We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. Height approx 100cm
