A MEDiUM SIZED HANDMADE HONEY POT WITH METAL REPAIRS, TUTSI TRIBE RWANDA( No 4743 )

This is a simply shaped, handmade honey pot from the Tutsi tribe of Rwanda. Strikingly simple form. Made from a dense, dark honey coloured African hardwood.  Features complicated and masterfully applied metal indigenous repairs in geometric patterns are a highlight.  Has a well used patina.  In good condition., with wear, some around the rim.  We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. Height approx 30cm
