A SERENE DAN MASK FROM THE IVORY COAST EX UK COLLECTION ( No 5175 )

This is a pretty and now rare mask from the Dan people of the Ivory Coast , West Africa.  Has exaggerated cheek bone structure and a chic white painted eye mask. The surface has  a lush sheen in places and raw wood patina at the rear, as one would expect.    In original condition with wear and weathering.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used.
