This is a striking gigantic mask from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, West Africa. Has fine form. The hairstyle has a high level of three dimensional sculpture which continues at the rear. The back of the mask has surprising form including birds. The patina is well developed with a subtle sheen. In good condition, with wear. Stand included. Height approx 70cm
