A FANTASTIC ANIMAL MASK FROM THE MOSSI TRIBE OF BURKINA FASO ( No 3027)

This is a fantastic old  animal mask from the Mossi tribe of Burkina Faso..  Depicts a totemic animal- with perky ears like a cat. Cubist form with adze marks throughout.  It is a dense  heavy wood . The patina is very well used with a satin sheen.  In good condition with extreme  wear , old worn chin and an old missing but at top  .  We guarantee this item has been tribally used.  Height 25cm approx
