A SMOOTHLY PATINATED DAN MASK FROM THE IVORY COAST ( No 2961 )

This is a smoothly patinated mask from the Dan people of the Ivory Coast, West Africa.   The surface has a lot of wear, with a lush sheen in places and weathering at the rear.    In original condition with wear and weathering, particularly around the eye socket.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height approx 25 cm.
