A ONE ARM RASIED LOBI THIL FIGURE FROM BURKINA FASO ( No 4399 )

This is an expressively carved Thil altar figure from the  Lobi people of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Has stylised form with its right arm raised to stop the infiltration of malevolent forces from entering the space.   Faceted surface, dynamic form and a well developed patina.   In good condition with wear.  Custom mounted.   We guarantee that this item has been tribally used.  Height approx 30cm
