A CHARMINGLY WORN ALTAR FIGURE, SENOUFO TRIBE iVORY COAST W.AFRICA ( No 3053 )

This is a sculptural and worn altar figure from Senoufo people of the Ivory Coast, west Africa.  Depicting a female with a dish on her head  Signs of ceremonial feeding at the mouth.  The patina is a natural wood which is beautifully warmly patinated.  Wear is commensurate with tribal use. In good condition. The base is a bit small so it’s unsteady.  We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. H approx 18cm
