This is a lusciously patinated stool from the
Gurunsi people of the Burkina Faso, West
Africa. Simple form elbow shaped pillars and a circular top and bottom platform. Features the sort of well developed patina that begs to be touched. There is some textural erosion to the side. There are for motifs also around the perimeter. A lovely piece. Made from an solid and substantially heavy African hardwood.. In good condition, with weathering and wear. An exceptional patina.
