This is a highly stylised tall doll from the Mossi people of Burkina Faso, West Africa. The form is extremely abstract, a series of geometric forms that have an otherworldly air. The leather sheath is masterfully hand stitched. The patina is a highlight. In good condition with wear and weathering commensurate with tribal use. Custom mounted.
