This is a very unique fetish object from the Ewe tribe of Ghana. A magical carved wooden board, with holes for the insertion of ceremonial libations. There are human and animal depictions around the perimeter, including a crocodile, heralded for its long life and wisdom. There is a hole in the centre of the underside which probably had a stake inserted when it was placed on a personal altar. Remnants of ceremonial libations adorn the surface . This is a truly uncommon fetish. We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Length approx 25cm
