A REFINED BRASS DISC PENDANT, BAULE TRIBE IVORY COAST. ( No 2671)

This is a fine brass disc pendant from the Baule people of the Ivory Coast.  Has a central motif of another bead.  Worn for prestige along the west coast, as it’s Intended to look like gold.  Originally made of wax, using the lost wax technique bronze. The patina is well developed.  In good condition. Wear commensurate with tribal use. We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. Height 7cm approx
