This is an amazing expressive and very large ceremonial mask from the Mbunda people of Angola. Has rugged features including a deeply grooved brow. Remnants of red pigment throughout which is traditional for this mask. In solid condition. It has been indigenously repaired to extend its functional life. An impressive piece that is hard to find.
