A MINIATURE TUTSI BASKET, RWANDA ( No 2216)

This is a petite and prettily patterned woven Tutsi basket from Rwanda. Simple bowl like form with a striking, graphic woven design.  Probably used to cover the opening of a beer pot or something similar.  Features a nicely used patina.  In good condition., with wear.   We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. width approx 18cm
