A VINTAGE BUTTON, SHELL DECORATED HAT, LEGA TRIBE, CONGO( No 4266 )

This is a vintage brilliantly decorated hat from the Lega tribe of the Congo. It is uniquely decorated with buttons, cowrie shells, and animal  teeth.  The design represents the scales of the sacred pangolin. In good collectable condition. Metal stand included. We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height of hat approx 25cm
