A SCULPTURAL IRON TORQUE CURRENCY MUMUYE TRIBE NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA ( No 2879 )

This is a sculptural iron currency from the Mumuye tribe Nigeria. Features a large curved torque with weaving motifs on the curve.  The triangular ends have raised circular decoration. Used for trade of one off purchases.  Has a substantial indigenous style, with a used and oxiidised patina. In good condition.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used.  Width approx 24cm
