This is a sculptural altar figure from Dan people of the Ivory Coast, west Africa. The
form is finely carved. Depicts two Janus faces with two Janus bodies. There are smaller masks on the hips. The patina is encrusted with an earthy texture. Has a nicely developed patina, sculptural form, and is in good condition. Wear is commensurate with tribal use. We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. H approx 25cm
