A RED PIGMENT HEADREST FROM TURKANA TRIBE KENYA ( No 2170)

This is a striking headrest from the Turkana tribe of Kenya. Has remnants of red paint throughout which is rare to find.  Made from a pretty African hardwood with a lovely light colour.  The patina is well developed. In good condition. Some wear.  We guarantee that this item is tribally used.  Height: approx 18cm / 6 inch
