A RARE LARGE JESUS PLAQUE, EWE TRIBE GHANA ( No 4526 )

This is a rare altar object from the Ewe tribe of Ghana. Features Jesus on the cross in relief, at the centre of the plaque.  The letters ENRI above.  The texture and colour is a highlight. Has an encrusted patina from regular offerings of pigment etc.  This is a very unique object.  We have never seen anything like it in 32 years of collecting.  Good collectable condition, with wear.  We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height approx 50cm
