This is an attractive and finely carved spirit figure from the Baule people of the Ivory Coast. The form is precise and sculptural. The hairstyle is sensitively carved. Has a nicely developed patina with remnants of paint. A Very nice example, in good condition. Wear is commensurate with tribal use , age line filled on side of head with local cotton .
