A STRIKING LARGE NDOP RAW COTTON FABRIC FROM BAMILEKE TRIBE OF CAMEROON( No 5109 )

This is an abstract large Ndop strip weave fabric from Cameroon, West Africa.  Women artisans stitch in the geometrical resist design in raphia thread, which is dyed with indigo. The geometric shapes are all symbolic.  Hand spun.  In solid original condition with wear and stains. Height  approx 250cm x 150cm
