AN UNUSUAL LOCK FETISH, EWE TRIBE GHANA W.AFRICA (No 2621)

A large encrusted and moody figural power object from the Ewe tribe of Ghana. Features two wooden figures bound together- face to face- with twine and metal padlocks and numerous pens! Rare to find. Probably used to ensure someone’s studying was successful.  Natural libations were applied in ceremony to start the spiritual life of the artefact. Has an encrusted patina from regular offerings. Good collectable condition. We guarantee this item has been tribally used. Height approx 28cm
